HelloFresh now available in supermarkets – The Grocer

Recipe box service HelloFresh is breaking into the retail environment by launching its meal kits in Sainsbury’s. The company will introduce £10 meal kits for two into 35 Sainsbury’s stores in London and the South East this week, and the HelloFresh Go kits will eventually roll out across Sainsbury’s branches nationwide. The range will initially include five recipes, ranging from chicken jalfrezi with brown rice to a Mexican tomato jumble with spiced citrus halloumi, but the selection will be rotated every six weeks to “give people variation”.

Kit Kat recipe set to reformulate – The Grocer

Nestlé is to roll out reformulated Kit Kats as part of its efforts to slash more than 1,000 tonnes of sugar and three billion calories from shopper’s diets. From next week, the new-recipe bars containing less sugar and extra milk and cocoa will go on sale in redesigned wrappers. Each four-finger snack will offer 21.3g of sugar, a 3.2% reduction on the current 22g. The reformulated Kit Kats would remain the “same size as the ones they are replacing and taste just as good,” according to Fiona Kendrick, Chairman and CEO of Nestlé UK & Ireland.
